About

The Bracebridge Agricultural Society is a volunteer-driven, community-minded, registered charitable organization.  The objective of the Society is to encourage an awareness of agriculture and the environment by providing opportunities, education and improvements to the quality of life for all citizens.  The Society fulfils this goal each year by holding the Bracebridge Fall Fair & Horse Show, something that has been done faithfully since 1867. The tradition of the Fall Fair provides a venue where local citizens can show their quality livestock, fruits and vegetables, flowers and handiwork to friends, family and neighbours who can also enjoy the many other activities that are available to fair-goers.  The fact that many of our citizens, young and old, have fond memories of the event is something we are very proud of and take to heart.

The Bracebridge Agricultural Society is a member of the Ontario Association of Agricultural Societies (OAAS) and specifically, Bracebridge is in what is referred to as District #11 of the OAAS.  The OAAS is a unifying body for Agricultural Societies in Ontario which through communication and educational activities provides leadership to the entire agricultural industry.
